Challenging Behaviour & Breakaway Techniques
To give participants an overall understanding of why challenging behaviour occurs and how to deal with it, as well as the use of non-restrictive breakaway techniques and the laws and guidance associated with it.
Anyone working in a health and/or social care setting. People who are working in any environment will benefit from this course, including residential, lone-working or hospital environments. Ideally all participants should have knowledge of patient/resident care plans and procedures. Please note that due to insurance requirements there is a maximum of 12 participants per session.
Venue and duration
Your own training room. A full day is certainly best. We could squeeze the training into a half day if you wish, but you would have to tell us what to cover, and what to leave out. Please note that the half day session is only suitable as a refresher, ie participants would need to have completed a full day’s training on this topic in the past.
